The Commodity Genome Project is a non-profit organization that is developing an open-source framework for describing commodities’ environmental, social, and governance (ESG) footprints in addition to their physical attributes.

 

We created the brand identity system, website, white paper and infographics. The logo was designed to embody the open, innovative, and optimistic personality traits of the brand. The semi-circle represents the letter C to emphasize “commodities,” and conveys a sense of openness. The radial convergence of multiple facets suggests complexity and connectivity. A broad range of dynamic vibrant complimentary colors gives the brand a sense of variety and complexity, while remaining cohesive and conveying consistency and reliability in a modern, friendly, and approachable manner.
